Chapter Four

At the sight of the attached document, Khushi couldn't believe what she was reading. Not needing anyone else in the room to see it, Khushi quickly printed it out and took it back upstairs. She read a bit of it while she was in the elevator alone and continued to do so as she entered and got in her room. Words on the pages flew out to her and echoed, words like nipple clamps, bondage, cuffs, punishment, and so much more.

Reading through every page of the document, Khushi placed the packet down and stared out the window with wide eyes. She couldn't believe she had read through it all without recoiling.

I can't believe I've read it all.

Khushi looked down at the packet in her hands. Along with the information about the relationship was information about the job offer as well. Based on the information provided, Khushi knew that to lose this job offer would truly be the stupidest thing she could have ever done.

But is it worth getting into a BDSM relationship with the great Arnav Singh Raizada?

Khushi's phone beeped, indicating that it was low on charge. She got out her charger from her purse and plugged it in, putting her phone on charge. Her mind clouded with the thought of Arnav Singh Raizada and she really didn't know what to do.

Keeping her phone on charge, Khushi searched him up online. She found the company's website, as well as links about the company and opinions from the company's workers. She clicked on one of those and looked at the comments people and to say about their job. None of them were bad, all of them containing positive comments. Khushi had silently hoped for at least one negative comment so she could use that as an excuse to back out. But it seemed that fate had other things in mind and Khushi questioned why.

Why me? First I quit my job, then my phone, and now this... this... crazy proposal!

Khushi's phone pinged, another email having arrived. When Khushi looked at the notification carefully, she saw that Arnav Singh Raizada had emailed her again.

Should I open it?

Tapping on it, the email app opened and took her to the email.

Subject: The Contract

Dear Ms. Gupta,

I hope that you are well provided at the hotel and have already begun reading the contract.

If there are any questions that you have, please do not hesitate to email me.

Khushi blinked at the email. Her mind blanked and she didn't even know why.

Perhaps this is the power of Arnav Singh Raizada.

Crossing her legs and getting comfortable under the blanket, Khushi typed back a response.

Yes I am fine here at the hotel, thank you. I have also finished reading the contract.

Truth be told, my mind has blanked from shock. There are several questions, but I will need a moment to gather the pieces of my brain back together, and will only then be able to discuss them with you.

With that, Khushi sent him the email.

That sounded proper... right?

Khushi's phone pinged again, only this time it was a text from her sister. She purposely ignored it and just as she was about to toss her phone side, she received another email.

I assume it is only natural to be... perplexed. But I will wait for you to gather your wits, and then we can discuss any questions that you have in mind.

Khushi thought of all she had dealt with, from her bad relationship to her crappy job. She didn't see how she could be lucky.

Her phone pinged once more and she saw that she had received another email from Arnav.

It is getting late and you should get some sleep, after the eventful day you have had. We can talk about the contract tomorrow, I'll give you my phone number below. Get some sleep and please do not stress about this. All of your fears are in your head.

Khushi put her phone down and turned off the lights. Snuggling into bed, wrapped up warmly by the blanket, Khushi looked up at the ceiling.

I haven't agreed to anything, yet I just did as he said. What the hell?

She turned to the side, resting her cheek on her hand.

What am I getting myself into? Why am I not even stopping myself? Why am I going along with this so easily? I know that I've had a rough day....

Sleep began to take over Khushi and she yawned.

Maybe this is my new beginning.
