Sunshine seeped into the room, but Arnav and I were already awake. Arnav had his pillow up and he was leaning back against it. I had my head resting on his chest, my hand wrapped around his waist, as he moved his fingers through my hair.
"I didn't know you were Gujarati," I said.
"I'm not. In fact, I don't know what I am."
I giggled and he laughed as well.
"Do you know what you are," he asked.
I shook my head. "No. But I think it's a mix?"
He chuckled.
"So then, why do you throw the party?"
I felt Arnav stiffen. I got up to look at him but he just shook his head and had me lay my head back down and he continued to stroke my hair.
"My mom was always the partying type," he said after a few minutes. "She didn't care what the occasion was, but she would want to throw a party so that people would come together. She was also the fun-type."
I couldn't believe it. This was the first time I had ever gotten any insight on his mother. To find out this bit of information was such a big breakthrough.
"She sounds amazing," I said against his chest.
"Yeah, she was," he sighed.
Arnav didn't say anything for a while. I glanced up and saw him lost in thought, as he absentmindedly stroked my hair. I'm guessing he's thinking about his mother. I wanted to ask him about her more, but decided not to.
"We should get up," I said.
"Hmm, we could. We should. But we won't."
I looked up at him and saw his eyes darkening. "And why is that," I whispered, biting my lower lips.
"I think you very well know why," he smirked, and he turned me over and we were lost again.

After our little session we washed up and went down to breakfast. Once we finished, I had to leave, having work today.
And since that day, things went all eh. There was school and I had to crank down since graduation was ahead. And then work was getting crazy, giving me no time to go see Arnav. We only saw each other at school and that sucked.
Not only had I started to get busy, but Arnav started to get busy as well. There was this big deal he had gotten with this Malaysian steel company and he wanted to buy it under any circumstance. I don't know what the big deal is, but he said it would be a great profit, but some rival company was also trying to get it. So all of that had Arnav tied up to his office work and he couldn't make up time to see me.
All of this sucked! We only got to see each other in school and didn't even get to talk that much. Which sucks! And... and I still haven't told him how I feel. I still haven't told him that I love him.
But will he react? No, no why would he? I mean we're so close and he's always so sweet! He wouldn't turn me down! No absolutely not!

I'm really missing spending time with Arnav. So finally, after all these days, I had managed to take time off from work. I had called Arnav and told him that I was coming over and he was more than beyond happy!
Arnav sent Nigel to my place and I quickly wore a flowey high-low black georgette tank top and tights. I put my hair up in a bun and grabbed my bag, keys and phone and ran out.
"Hey Nigel," I beamed.
"Good afternoon Ma'am," he said, tipping his hat. "You seem really happy."
And that's because I really am! I'm going to tell Arnav how I feel today! "It's nothing," I shrugged.
He nodded and opened the door for me. I slipped in and he went around and drove me to the CitySpire. I had my headphones in and put my music up on my phone. I jammed out, nodding and shaking my head. We arrived to the building and I got out and headed into the building. Calling the elevator, I waited and continued to jam. I saw the doorman and waved. He knew me well enough now and he tipped his hat.
The elevator arrived and I got in. Typing in the code, the elevator pulled up and I jammed out. I danced around in the elvator, listening to one of my favorite songs - Danza Kuduro by Don Omar.
The elevator reached the 73rd floor and I got out. I rang the bell and Etta opened the door.
"Hi Etta," I beamed and hugged her.
"Hi," she said surprised. "You seem really happy Khushi."
I nodded. "I am!"
I headed in and went to the living room. Arnav came in a few seconds later and I ran to him and hugged him. He moved back two steps by the sudden force, but held onto me.
"You seem happy," he said.
I let go of him. "Becuase I am," I said as I twirled side to side.
"Is that so? Because you finally get to see me," he teased.
He has no idea. "You bet!"
He looked surprised. "Wow. I didn't know I was so special."
I wrapped my arms around his neck. "That's because you are Mr. Raizada. But before I say anything, what is that smell?"
"What?"
"Etta's cooking isn't she? It smells good!"
Arnav chuckled. "You're unbelievable."
"What," I said innocently.
He chuckled and I rolled my eyes. Taking my bag off, I placed it on the sofa as headed to the kitchen.
"Watchya cooking," i said singy-songing-ly.
Etta chuckled. "Just some stir-fry."
"Yum! It smells amazing! I love your cooking."
"Thank you," she smiled. She turned the stove off. "Would you like some?"
"Yes please," I beamed.
Getting me a bowl, she put some in.
"Would you also like some fried rice," she asked.
"You are amazing, did I ever tell you that?"
She chuckled again and put some rice in the bowl as well. She handed me the bowl and fork and I gave her a side hug. Taking my food I left to the living room. As I went, I took a bit and felt like I was in heaven.
"You have got to try this," I said dreamily.
He chuckled and I placed some in his mouth. He happily ate and we continued to eat, going out to the terrace. We ate and when we finished, I went to get more. We ate some more and then I washed the bowl, even though Etta insisted she'd do it.
I joined Arnav in the living room. "This feels great," I said.
"Hmm. Feels like I haven't seen you in eons even though I see you at school."
I smiled. "Yeah," I said softly. I held my hands behind my back. "I wanna see you more often," I nearly whispered.
Arnav came on front of me and cupped my face. "Same here," he smiled, stroking my cheek.
He leaned in and softly kissed me on my lips. When he let go we hugged. As I held onto his waist I decided there and then that I would tell him.
Right here. Right now.
"Arnav-"
"Sir?"
We turned and saw Etta.
"You have a call."
Arnav nodded. "I'll be right there."
Etta nodded and left.
Arnav looked at me. "Continue."
"No, it's okay," I said. "You go take that call."
"I'll go. Tell me what you were going to say."
"It's not that important. Besides, what of it the Malaysians," I added quickly so I would catch him off guard.
And indeed it did do that.
"You're right," he said. "I'll be right back."
When he left I sighed. Who knew that trying to tell the person you love that you love them is this hard?
